Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another victory in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal straight entry to the knockout stages, especially after a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This match offered a chance for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in match.
A Shelbourne side that had concluded their domestic season were outmatched even for a mostly rotated Palace lineup. The Londoners were already depleted by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg problems.

Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
